Wonder and Kent discuss the life and untimed chart of convicted fraudster, Elizabeth Holmes. For this episode they watched the narrative television show The Dropout, created by Elizabeth Meriwether and starring Amanda Seyfried in an Emmy award winning performance. They also listened to the ABC News podcast the TV show was largely based on, also called The Dropout, hosted by Rebecca Jarvis. Finally, they watched the documentary Alex Gibney made about Holmes called, The Inventor. Emerging themes in Holmes’ story includes the fine line between inventors and liars, as made by Gibney who drew parallels between Holmes and Thomas Edison, who Holmes named her blood testing machine for. Astrologically Edison was born during a Saturn Neptune conjunction in 1847 while Holmes was born in 1984 with the two planets in a semi-square. The pair talk at length about Holmes’ natural talent as a fabulist and how clearly that is described by her Jupiter Neptune conjunction. Also up for discussion is her stubborn tenacity, strength of will and the lengths she goes to protect the secrets she claims she does not possess (Mars in Scorpio with Saturn and Pluto). Stay tuned till the end for a debate between Kent and Wonder about what, if anything, Holmes has in common with her Silicon Valley cohorts, some of whom we will be covering in later episodes this season.
NOTES: This episode is part of a trilogy that originated from watching the trailer for You Can See Everything, a hyper real documentary featuring Holmes to be released on October 16, 2026. The trailer was so unhinged and evocative they immediately began familiarizing themselves with the co-director and fellow protagonist of the film, Nathan Fielder, a comedian and director they were previously unaware of but are now, frankly, obsessed by. Somewhere in the middle of watching these two shows they realized the entire experience was a deep immersion in the Saturn Neptune themes that characterize this period of time, and would make a great podcast series. The first part in the series is about Fielder and his show, The Rehearsal, and the third part is, of course, on You Can See Everything.
